OUR VISION

Our Mission

TO WELCOME AND SERVE

refugees and immigrants

in the State of Delaware and Southeast Pennsylvania

by providing comprehensive services

which will support their capacity

to establish security, stability, wellness, and necessary skills

to move toward economic self-sufficiency

and lawful permanent residency as quickly as possible.

Our Vision

Compassion Immigration Services is committed to ensuring that the many resettlement needs of refugees are met with compassion and understanding.

Our Team is dedicated to going the full distance by providing affordable and personalized legal support to those immigrants who become eligible for permanent residency.

Our Objectives

Objective 1: Offer affordable, certified legal immigration services

Objective 2: Foster self-sustainability through access to English classes, ongoing cultural orientation, employment counseling, and other necessary training

Objective 3: Provide safe and affordable housing, amenities, and provisions

Objective 4: Create an environment of care for one another internally among families and staff as well as externally through our volunteer network

Current
Critical Realities
for Refugees

There are over 50 million refugees in our world today, fleeing violence, persecution, & war.

Last year our country provided resettlement for just 100,000, yet the U.S. is one of the leading countries providing such refuge.

Over the past year, there were 2,179 refugees resettled in Pennsylvania, while Delaware resettled only 74.*   (*U.S.Dept. of State, 2024)

We must do more!

There is only 1 refugee resettlement agency still operating in Delaware.

It is our aim to establish a new agency that will not only provide help during the initial 3 to 6 months of resettlement, but an additional period of gaps services, focusing on provision of support in areas where standard services fall short. We will then aim to provide affordable legal services to facilitate their required status adjustment to permanent residency.
